Yes. Not surprising that it is seen this way.

So, I’ve heard that some writers aren’t a fan of Ko-Fi. They seem to view it as little more than e-begging and don’t think people should do it. I’m guessing they view it this way because there’s no reward for giving someone a tip? Of course, I also feel like the people who have the biggest issue with this, don’t need the money. Maybe, maybe not but I suspect that’s a factor.

Yes. Not surprising that it is seen this way. The world has for a long time had a large capacity of street beggars. A lot due to the mishandling of community support services amongst many others! Not surprising with the spread of the internet, ko-fi and 'buy me a coffee' are much like the 'electronic big brother of today.'
