… traumatizing sound of my life (something like a 200-pound grunting man choking an innocent gecko). My parents were getting it on in the bed next to us! I froze. I wanted to scream into the pillow. I wanted to rip my ears off. I wanted to get up, tell them to stop fucking, and get the hell out of that room while I set their bed on fire. But, as I mentioned, I froze.

Witnessing your parents having sex, when you are a child can be very emotionally harming. As a psyche nurse of 30 years, I have treated younger people with issues caused by this. And as an adult myself, I certainly would not have sex in the same room as the kids!
