Time For ShorForm Writers to Get Their Words Right

Because guidelines must be followed…

For many a long period of time The ShortForm editors, Nancy Blackman, MASF, B.R. Shenoy, Vidya Sury, Collecting Smiles, Dr. Preeti Singh, Christina Vaughn: Nurse, Writer, Creator., Sunsand, Yana Bostongirl, and myself, Jonathan Townend, RMN - Editor - Friend of Medium, have remained courteous, and patient with all of our writers, as they settle into the unique way that we do things here.

That unique thing?

The ShortForm is unlike other publications in the world of Medium because we have a very tight word limit, and we have all been quite accommodating while our writers typically count on their fingers and toes just how little those 150 words really are.

We have asked you to cut your words down if you have submitted far too many (for example, when you have exceeded slightly over 200) , and have sometimes helped you by editing down some of your words too if it’s just a couple of excess words, so that we can support you by getting your submissions successfully published.

But all this takes time.

Time that could more efficiently be spent accepting and publishing those writers who…
