This Is What Happens When People Think Security Is Pointless

Spotlight on what happened at Birmingham arena

This article primarily sets out to discuss an event that my wife and I attended earlier this year (2023) at Birmingham Utilita Arena, but before I continue, I would like simply to set the scene by recapping another terrifying event that took place at Manchester Arena back in 2017, in an effort to contrast ongoing necessary changes, or lack thereof.

Looking back at 2017 on the 22nd of May at approximately 22:30hrs on the traumatic events that took place at the Manchester Arena when the terrorist bombing attack befell many innocent lives, there have been many security safeguards implemented and put into regular action, in an active attempt to stop what was an appalling suicide bomber-initiated attack, from ever happening again.

Three weeks after the suicide bomber attack, a court inquiry was instigated which disclosed some troubling findings (which can be read here.)
