This is very true. Psychiatry taught me to turn regret into something more positive. At the end of the day, we all need to accept that life sometimes won't turn out the way we had planned it but, to adapt and hold on to them as a dear memory and as a life experience. There is no point in holding onto regret otherwise depression kicks in and starts to take over and multiple that original regret - it can be a vicious circle we all need to try and avoid.
