With all the attention given to the personal computer, it’s hard to remember that other companion machine in the room… the printer.

This is fairly true today. We have become pretty well accustomed to having at least one personal computer in our homes in this day and age.

This initial graph below, provided by Statista Research, 2010) displays the percentage of households with a computer at home in the United States from 1984 to 2010.

Clearly showing a home computer use in US homes, from just 8.2% to a much larger ownership of 77% within homes by 2010.

Relative to this is the UK statistics (provided by Statista Research, 2019) displays the percentage of households with a computer at home in the United Kingdom from 1984 to 2010.
