Subterranean Transport Risks.
Humanity has been traveling underground for some time. How safe is it for our physical & mental health?
The London Underground network today, is 1️⃣8️⃣0️⃣years old when December visits Britain this year (2022.)
Exactly why I am writing this article, as I believe the development of this subterranean transportation system deserves some recognition.
Although, I believe that making you aware of the potential for dangers is also valid.
The network was initially constructed by Sir Marc Brunel and his son Isambard Kingdom Brunel, with the opening of the Thames Tunnel.
1823 saw Brunel producing a plan for this London-based tunnel between Rotherhithe and Wapping, which would be dug using his new shield.
