Same here, it’s really quite horrible and unsettling at times.

My audiologist tells me that I don’t need hearing aids just yet, but I do have mild hearing loss. If there isn’t a lot of background noise, I can hear you perfectly well. But in a crowded restaurant or on a busy street it often sounds as if everyone has suddenly started mumbling.
