Truth be known, yes I am…
However, supporting a vulnerable person with mental health needs as a nurse in a hospital or secure unit, is altogether poles apart, from individually using the skills for yourself.
Let me explain.
Mental health nurses are there to assess, plan, and implement care, and to evaluate that care provided is monitored as and when needed to ensure that their patient’s needs & safety remain effective. It is at this point in time that nurses let themselves fall by the wayside.
Why though?
