Insider Truth About Care Concerns That I Have Really Seen

My true recollection of those surprising easy little errors

A topic that safeguarding adults taught me everything about in the professional caring world of elderly care nursing. Yet, still today, this part in particular, nursing care homes still are not getting right.

Even in our younger days, so many of us have experienced that nasty point where we have either partially lost our sense of hearing, or physically, our health has adversely affected our aural faculties.

Either way, leading to the need for hearing aids.

Yet, what still bugs me, is that both care assistants and trained nurses alike, have been in error when delivering personal care to those elderly patients left in their charge.

For the benefit of fairness, as I was a senior mental health nurse for many years, it was not just care assistants that were responsible for making this all-too easy mistake but, it was junior nursing staff to.

To witness these events both embarrassed and sickened me.

What was a simple everyday need was so easily being forgotten by people that were charged with delivering…
