Hi Jonathan, I'm in the Lake District, and I suppose we are used to the rain here; that's how we get the lakes. A bit of summer would have been nice, my family live in Dubai, and I wouldn't swap; it's been over 40c for weeks. I fear it is too late for us all.

Hi Susan. Thank you for taking the time to read and engage -much appreciated. I haven't been to the Lake District for quite a few year and yes, it was very wet but beautiful - I live in Dorset. 40C is way too hot, but Dubai is pretty warm anyway. You're right though, I reckon it is way too late for recovery now. Do you get over to Dubai to see your family much?
