PARENTS OF TODDLERS BEWARE
Has Your Little One Ever Done This Startling But Risky Thing?
“I want to be a cat, but not in my bedroom, out there and right now”
Ok, so writing this with a slightly humorous slant today, but also with a stark warning for all those parents of toddlers out there in Medium land, who need to use stairgates to keep their little ones safe.
Our eldest daughter lives with us at home with her two little rugrats, a boy of nearly three, and a girl who will be two toward the end of this year; this focuses on the little girl who right now, has a fascination within everything cat-orientated.
Her bedroom, that she shares with her little brother, had a chair in there the other day, so her mum could sit on while they played happily on the car mat with teddies and cars.
Mum had left the bedroom for a bathroom break, being careful to make sure the baby gate was in place and the locking mechanism was operational before leaving.
But it was not long before the little girl had grown bored of the teddies, after her older brother had run them over with his toy truck and fire engine for the umpteenth time, so decided to turn her giggly, and excitable self toward the attention of that stairgate.
